The educational opportunities and jobs available to our students after they graduate increasingly require the use of high-tech skills and abilities.
But too many students and schools do not have access to the technology and high-speed internet access required to ensure they learn skills they will need to succeed in career or college.
That's why I believe the Federal Communications Commission should update and revitalize the E-rate program to meet the 21st century broadband needs of our schools and libraries.
Please make sure that you support a continuation of erate funding for school website hosting as part of this update. This is an improtant detail.
