The big day is finally here! And thanks to you, the momentum is on our side – with the latest public poll indicating we’re now in the lead.
The only poll that really counts, though, is the one taken at the polls on Election Day. Please be sure to vote – and encourage your friends and family to do the same!
In the last few months, I’ve been from one end of California to the other – and back again. Everywhere, I’ve met dedicated parents, students, teachers, school employees and volunteers dedicated to protecting the promise of public education.
We are joined in this cause by leaders from every community across California, including Senator Dianne Feinstein, Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti, Attorney General Kamala Harris, Controller John Chiang, Senate President pro Tem Kevin de León, and Congress members Karen Bass, Judy Chu, Janice Hahn and Maxine Waters, among many others.
I could not be prouder to stand with them and the more than 400,000 classroom teachers, thousands of school employees, child care workers, building trades members, nurses, firefighters, police officers, electrical workers, plumbers, and more than 100 education leaders across California who believe this is not the time to put our schools at risk.
We have come together because all know that our schools are stronger when we work together. That’s how we stopped the cuts to education and raised graduation rates to a record high. And that’s how we’ll continue our work to be sure all children get the great education they deserve.
Thank you all for your kindness and support during this campaign, and for your dedication to the future of our children and our state. Now, let’s make it count! VOTE!
